Summary

Nourish your body and spirit on retreat with prayer, Scripture, Eucharist, quiet, beautiful grounds, and delicious meals shared with others in their 20s-30s. This Thanksgiving-week retreat features Gospel stories about food and will be food for the soul!  

Description

Check-in begins at 9am on Saturday morning.  The retreat starts at 10 am and will end on Sunday by 1 PM after lunch.

This retreat includes daily Mass, 5 hot meals, the opportunity for one-on-one spiritual direction with a trained spiritual director, and many other opportunities to explore our 80 acres and almost 60k square feet of  interior space.  All activities are optional, but we do ask everyone to respect the quiet of the retreat house for everyone to have the opportunity to read, sleep and reflect in the quiet. 

Bellarmine has two libraries, two chapels, a resource center, and many other common areas.  Outdoor spaces include a various walking trails, various prayer gardens, a gazebo, stations of the cross, as well as a few patios and outdoor chairs and benches.

Lauren Hackman-Brooks

Lauren Hackman-Brooks is trained as a spiritual director in the Ignatian tradition and has experience facilitating retreats particularly with young adults and women. Originally from Cincinnati, Lauren spent a decade working in ministry in Jesuit schools in Chicago. She currently serves as the Director of Mission Formation at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. Lauren is a spouse and parent, a voracious reader, an enthusiastic home cook, and a lover of the outdoors.
