An Ignatian, Semi-Silent Weekend Retreat for Adults Under 40

As we celebrate the feast of Christ the King, Michael Pederson, S.J. and Matthew Zurcher, S.J. will prayerfully explore the joy of focusing on and following Jesus in a distracted world. The young adult retreatants will be invited to rejuvenating silence in which to ask: Who is Christ calling me to be?
This retreat starts with check-in between 9 am - 10 am on Saturday and ends after lunch on Sunday.
Program Cost
The total for the overnight retreat will be a $50 deposit plus donation.
The actual cost of this retreat is well over $200.
Please prayerfully consider what additional donation you can make beyond the deposit at the end of the retreat.
This retreat includes several presentations, daily Mass, 6 meals, the opportunity for one-on-one spiritual direction with a trained spiritual director, and many other opportunities to explore our 80 acres and almost 60k square feet of interior space. All activities are optional, but we do ask everyone to respect the quiet of the retreat house for everyone to have the opportunity to read, sleep and reflect in the quiet.
Bellarmine has two libraries, a resource center, two chapels, and many other common areas. Outdoor spaces include a various walking trails, various prayer gardens, a gazebo, stations of the cross, as well as a few patios and outdoor chairs and benches. Each retreatant has their own bedroom.
Michael Pederson, SJ is currently teaching environmental science & sustainability at Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago. In addition to his teaching, Michael is an academic advisor, spiritual director, and leads a CLC. He is a former landscape laborer, high-school biology and psychology teacher, soccer coach, and 5th grade teacher.
Matthew Zurcher, SJ is studying social philosophy at Loyola University Chicago. He is a former halfway-house supervisor, high-school English teacher, choral conductor, and prison chaplain.
