Summary

This retreat focuses on the sustaining rhythm of Steps One, Two and Three.  We will explore the unmanageable, sanity and decision.  We will also explore the Higher Power each of us relies upon.

Description

A Retreat Leader leads the retreat and prepares thematic talks rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and the 12 Step Program. The retreat offers a unique time away with optional opportunities for a 12 Step meeting, confession, Mass, consultation with a spiritual director, and group prayer experiences. Recovery Retreats end after the 11:30 am lunch.  

Bellarmine has two libraries, a resource center, two chapels, and many other common areas. Outdoor spaces include a various walking trails, various prayer gardens, a gazebo, stations of the cross, as well as a few patios and outdoor chairs and benches.

Fr. Timothy Seigel

Father Tim Siegel is the parochial vicar for Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cary Illinois. He was ordained in May of 1991 and has spent all of his years in ministry with the Diocese of Rockford. Father Seigel received his Masters of Divinity degree from Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales corners Wisconsin, a Masters of Theological Studies from St. Meinrad School of theology in 1987, and and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in sociology from Loras College in 1983. He has been in recovery since 1984.
